Talk by Sarah Gayton

Saturday 28th June, 14.30

Radcliffe Humanities Building

‘Sea of Change’ is about the difficulties of people with visual and hearing impairment to cross shared traffic spaces. This award-winner film maker premiered her film at the House of Lords on the 3rd of December, which coincided with the 21st Birthday of the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The event also included films from Ecuador, Nigeria and Kenya about the difficulties people with low vision face navigating road systems in those countries.

Sarah Gayton and her film makers Rohini Malwana and @film2240 have created a great campaign to highlight this issue, and along with their cast, have made real success in advocating for people of all abilities to be able to travel safely and independently.

Sarah Gayton will be leading the talk on the use of film for public health advocacy and will be joined at the festival by some of the contributers featured in the film.
